An immersive microsite mapping Black New York

An immersive microsite mapping Black New York

I designed the microsite for Museum Hue’s Mapping Communities: Black Enclaves in New York City from 1825 to 1950, exploring the history and legacy of Seneca Village and Weeksville—two historic Black communities that shaped New York City.

The site transforms dense archives, videos, data visualizations, and lesson plans into an engaging digital experience, designed to pair with a print walking tour brochure. Working alongside my dev partner at Proof, CUNY faculty, a graphic designer, and the Museum Hue team, it was a joy to help bring this special part of our city's history to life.

The site brings together narrative, timelines, videos, data visualizations, and curriculum in an interactive experience designed to pair with a print walking tour. I worked alongside my dev partner at Proof, CUNY faculty, a graphic designer, and the Museum Hue team. It was a joy to help bring this special part of our city’s history to life :)
